1. Planting: Your Hydrangea will grow best in moist, well-drained soil. There's no need to amend your soil when planting. Be sure to also plant in an area with partial sun (4-6 hours of sunlight per day), with an area to cling, such as a wall, trellis, pergola, or arbor.

When you're ready to plant, dig a hole that's about twice the size of your Hydrangea's root ball and just as deep, place your Hydrangea, and then backfill the soil. Finally, water the surrounding area to settle the roots.

If you're planting in a container, use supports for clinging purposes, select a pot that's about twice the size of your plant's shipped container, and use organic soil. Finally, place in an area that gets plenty of sunlight.

2. Watering: Water your Hydrangea weekly for the first 6 months. After this time, you will only need to water your plant when you get less than 1 inch of rain during the week.

3. Fertilizing: You can fertilize your Hydrangea every spring with a 10-10-10 fertilizer.

4. Pruning: Prune only in late autumn or early winter as the flowers begin to fade and dry.
