David Austin® Nye Bevan™ Rose Shrub

David Austin® Nye Bevan™ Rose Shrub delivers vibrant blooms and easy-care performance. Enjoy long-lasting color in beds, borders, and containers.

1. Planting: Choose a location in your garden that receives at least six hours of sunlight each day. Prepare the soil by mixing in compost or well-rotted manure to improve drainage and nutrient content. Dig a hole that is twice as wide as the root ball and deep enough that the graft union is slightly above the soil level. Place the rose in the hole, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly to eliminate air pockets.

2. Watering: Water your Nye Bevan™ Rose deeply and regularly, especially in the first year to establish strong roots. Aim to provide about an inch of water per week, either through rainfall or supplemental watering. During especially hot or dry spells, monitor the soil moisture, and adjust your watering routine accordingly.

3. Pruning: Prune the rose in early spring when new growth starts to emerge. Remove any dead or diseased wood, and cut back to healthy, outward-facing buds to encourage an open center. Aim for a shape that promotes airflow while also maintaining an attractive form. Lightly deadhead spent blooms throughout the season to promote continuous flowering.

4. Fertilizing: Feed your Nye Bevan™ Rose with a balanced rose fertilizer in early spring and again in mid-summer, following the product's instructions. This will provide your rose with the essential nutrients it needs to thrive and produce beautiful blooms throughout the growing season.
