1. Planting: Before planting, thoroughly water the soil to ensure it is adequately moist. Choose a location for planting that receives full sun throughout the day (between 6-8 hours). When digging the hole for the plant, make sure it is twice as wide as the pot. Position the plant in the hole so that it sits 1-2 inches above the level of the surrounding ground soil, and then carefully backfill the hole with soil. After planting, water deeply to allow the soil to settle, and add more soil if necessary. Apply a layer of mulch 1-2 inches deep around the plant, taking care to avoid placing it too close to the stem.
